Sustainability at Solidus Shoes

Because every step counts: With Solidus, you can rely on durable, responsibly manufactured comfort shoes, short transport routes and resource-saving materials – for noticeable comfort and less impact on our environment.

In order to continuously increase our value based on sustainability, we rely on the strong expertise of our external partner ‘Licennium’. They provide Solidus with far-sighted and competent support and advice in the transformation process towards a tailor-made sustainability strategy. We are already looking forward to an upcoming milestone as a driver of sustainability: all the groundwork has already been laid for environmental certification, enabling us to credibly communicate our commitment to environmental protection to the outside world.

Water as a basis

Our soles are mostly manufactured directly in Germany using water-based PU. The bonding process is also carried out using sustainable water-based adhesives. Quick and easy communication channels ensure seamless, close cooperation. This enables us to guarantee compliance with our high quality standards.

Back into circulation

At the same time, we are committed to keeping Solidus’ carbon footprint as low as possible. By reducing unnecessarily long transport routes and numerous individual deliveries, we are fulfilling our responsibility to the planet. Our sustainable packaging concept is also designed to make an important contribution. Through general reduction and the use of paper-based materials (paper adhesive tape, paper shipping bags, paper filling material and the switch to untreated and recyclable shoe boxes), we are able to use sustainable raw materials and utilise them as resource-efficiently as possible. Paper and cardboard are considered perfect recycling products and can be easily recycled.

we are, of course, also committed to protecting the environment right here on site. Thanks to the modern digitalisation of internal processes, Solidus is helping to conserve important natural resources. Optimised heating control, the integration of LED lighting, electric pool vehicles and the switch to green electricity: these are just four of the many individual steps already taken towards
‘Solidus in harmony with nature’.
